With accident statistics, it often comes down to not how many, but how many you know.

We could give you the national numbers, but it's more real when you bring the stats closer to home.

  • In 2008, 40% of all Connecticut motorcycle fatalities involved alcohol.
  • Of the fatally injured motorcycle operators tested for alcohol in Connecticut in 2001, 50% had been drinking, 29% of whom had BACs of .10% or higher.
