CONNECTICUT LAUNCHES MOTORCYCLE RIDER IMPAIRMENT CAMPAIGN
Thousands of Enthusiasts Expected to Attend 6th Annual Northeast Motorcycle Expo
WHO:
- The Connecticut Department of Transportation's (CONN DOT) Division of Highway Safety is launching "Open the Throttle. Not the Bottle." - a campaign dedicated to raising awareness about the dangers of impairment and riding a motorcycle among Connecticut riders.
WHAT:
- Thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts are expected to attend the 6th annual Northeast Motorcycle Expo. The campaign will be unveiled to a captive audience, including showcasing its new web site, www.ride4ever.org, which is designed exclusively for Connecticut riders. Show attendees will also be invited to walk the "straight line" while wearing the "Fatal Vision Goggles," which simulate the effects of impairment.
